I think most of LENR research is not a scam; it is probably just pathological science. But I don't even rule it out completely. I just find the evidence far too weak to be convincing, and in the absence of good evidence, based on very strong evidence that it should not occur, I remain highly skeptical, as I am of perpetual motion and dowsing and telepathy and so on. > This position explains why they 'know' that there must be some form of > trick being propagated by Rossi. > Again, that doesn't apply to me. I think cold fusion is extremely unlikely not only because it is contrary to expectations, but because if Rossi's claims were valid, unequivocal proof would be very easy to stage. So, I consider alternative explanations, including possible deception, far more likely.
