After all, Levi is no longer independent, and is apparently Rossi's top technical advisor. Plus, he has every incentive to be disingenuous on this point - since he does not want to be blamed for the gross measurement error. The results in February cannot be trusted because of incorrect thermocouple placement. Again, there is no physical evidence of two distinct configurations. Since Rossi is now committed to the design which we can see, there is no incentive to be secretive on the one which does not matter - so why not show the insides of the one tested in Jan/Feb?
