Well, that sucks. Did I miss some VZ news that would have affected this? 


With Frontier pushing this off however, I wonder which ROBC will be the first 
to break and offer SIP interconnection. It has to happen at some point, 
although at this rate, I'm not sure if "sometime this decade" is too much to 
hope for.

Maybe they finally realized they were giving all their business away to 
Sinch and InfoBip and that it was going to start costing them money if 
they didn't move away from SS7. After all who has more switches to pay
