No, more likely a front-line flunky who was taught to say "no" if they weren't
sure what the answer was...

BTW, I use VNC on XP also.  There is always a little bit of a learning curve,
but when it's up and running, it is still the most smooth and reliable of the
remote control clients.  In fact, I recently switched to *always* using it on my
clients' XP Pro systems as well as the built in remote desktop connection.
There are some hurdles to effectively configuring the built-in remote tools on
those systems that make VNC an intelligent choice for immediate access with a
minimum of fuss.
