Donald We could almost be twins!! Although I have very much the opposite experience. Not Sun/Solaris, but most other flavours of Unix, and if it were my choice, I'd leave Win sites alone. However, that is another subject and not for this list.
On the subject of VNC server/viewer on NT, I have found it to be VERY stable. I have a number of LAN's running both server and/or viewer VNC or TightVNC, and I use these links daily (24/7) and unless the NT server is down, I have not had any bad experiences. However for other reasons, we are moving off the W32 platform onto Linux. I am very impressed with this OS. Have a good day!
