This is the only thing that will change MS.

Unfortunately, companies that can/will switch are still in relatively small
numbers. The small guys (say 10, 100, perhaps even 1000 people) that simply
don't have the internal resources to 'do their own thing' are going to have
a hard time ditching MS - and so MS has them by the short and curlies (as a
british expression goes !).

It's getting easier, but MS know that it isn't easy enough yet - and they
are going to put as many spokes in the open source worlds' bike wheels as
they can (I think this may well just be one of those sticks).
