Well I havn't tried it with Windows Client and server .. Iam conncting to the Server wich runs a KDE desktop on Mandrake 8.2
Maybe the problem is that the named Keycombinations are obviously allready assigned within the servers environment - And I don't consider it the best option to copy around the Clipboard with every focus change (who know what could be in the clipboard (even of the server) that you wouldnt want to transmited or overwritten... Therfore the logical consquence is that the 'paste to' (or copy from) option would have to be in the Right Click menue of the viewer... And I also suggest to make it maybe a system independent 'Paste Text' option that sends the desired context as keystrokes that any server could handle (probably with configurable delay between charakters or so) Thanks for your support ! cheers Tobias ----- Original Message ----- From: "Steve Palocz" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Cc: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Monday, April 15, 2002 13:42 Subject: RE: Pasting text from Viewer to Server > I just want to be sure here. > You say that you can't paste text either from the winvnc server to vncviewer > or back? > Are you relying on the paste to server option? > If you are at all familiar with windows, then you know that copy is CTRL+c > and paste is CTRL+v. > > I have just tried this, from viewer to server, and from server to viewer. > Works no problem for me. > Hey, I also tried this with a Solaris vnc server.
