Subject: winvncdrv speed....Alfa Testversion available.

Hi all,

New alfa update available http://services.simac.be/vnc/winvncdrv/sources

Acc_vncw2k32bpp.exe

Finally the blit part is eliminated from the vncserver, the video driver
provides the update rectangles and bitmap data.
This gives a big speed boost....and looower cpu.
Most of the solid rectangles are driver detected ..eliminated for
checking by vnc.
The hookdll is no longer needed.
Driver is auto loaded on client start, and unloaded on client
logout.(screen is reset 640x480 256 and back to old settings)

Test version. (32bpp)
The driver is running stable "I didn't had any more blue screens the
last days", but
there changed a lot insite the driver. Use with care..
It only works when the server is in 32bpp mode, for the other bpp the
screen is messed up.

PIII 1Ghz ati rage pro 128 (tested in loopback mode)
server (5-20% cpu)
viewer (30-50% cpu)
media player (50-70% cpu)

The viewer sometimes take 10x the amount the server use (loopback)
?????
Can someone do some test on low bandwidth...
Bugs.....

Greetings
Rudi
