Regarding this VNC/ZA blocking problem, I forgot to mention that I am using vncviewer on a PC to access a server on a sun box. ZA is running on the PC of course, and isolates the viewer. That's why I found it odd that the keystrokes typed on the PC is not regarded by ZA as "local" when it is in fact local. Not sure if that changes you assessment.
