Hiyas,

Well I did try running "vncpasswd" and the program executed perfectly. It
asked me to chnage my password. However I all it appears to do is write a
out the password in a file "/root/.vnc/passwd" so I am not for sure what
that proves. I did try to connect from with a viewer both java and
application based and I still get a "Failed to connect to server." error
message.

What do you mean by I need to know which virtual X server I am invoking VNC.
I appologize for my lack needy questions but this is not documented very
well for trying to run on Linux. Does anyone know where I can find some
highly detailed documentation? Something other than the lame docs that I
downloaded from the VNC site would be prefered. I also read the README that
came with the linux relase of VNC but I got very little usable information
related to my problem.

Thanks,

Bill

Try running a shell and typing "vncpasswd". If it is still running it will
prompt you for a password and then a different machine should be able to
connect
to it on :5800. I admit to being a little buffaloed myself when trying to
get
VNCserver to run on Mandrake 8.2RC1 - you need to know and specify which
virtual
X server you are invoking VNC on, and then connect to that screen. Try doing
this from inside Webmin (on the Others tab) - it may be easier.
