It's probably the "video mode switching" problem. NT has a "default" video mode, and also one for each user. If they aren't the same, when you hit Ctrl-Alt-Del the video mode will switch to the default one, and you will be disconnected.
The fix is to make the modes the same. The default mode is whatever the Administrator's video settings are. If you make this the same as the regular user's settings, the problem will go away.
