This is anyone's guess. AT&T certainly hasn't made any noise about coming out with a new release. At this point it appears that they have mostly abandonded the project as far as public releases go, but there have been rumors that one of their developers will take up the project again someday. > Because this version exist since beginning of year 2001 and even if > it's operationnel today "as is" with 2000/XP, i think that the > integration is not really clean with those two new OS and a new > version could bring a lot of stability, performance and security too. I completely agree. This is one of the reasons some of us have been talking about starting a new project to pick up the slack and try to integrate many of the disparate improvements that various people have come up with over the years. If and when this project comes to fruition it will hopefully meet your needs. In the meantime, I recommend TightVNC as a project which is in active development and is probably the best general purpose VNC distribution: http://www.tightvnc.com/ -- Mike Ossmann, Tarantella/UNIX Engineer/Instructor Alternative Technology, Inc. http://www.alttech.com/ --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the line: 'unsubscribe vnc-list' in the message BODY See also: http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc/intouch.html ---------------------------------------------------------------------
