Thank you Michael. I have setup my router to forward port 5800 to port 5900 on the machine I'm trying to connect to. Via Internet Explorer I type "http://<ip address>:5800". I get my VNC login screen, but when I type in the password I get the error "java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused".
Did I do something wrong? So you could run WinVNC with a display number of 0 on machine snoopy, and with display 1 on machine woodstock, then set your router to send port 5900 to snoopy and 5901 to woodstock. See below for information on the other port numbers used by VNC." http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc/faq.html#q51 -- Mike Ossmann, Tarantella/UNIX Engineer/Instructor Alternative Technology, Inc. http://www.alttech.com/ --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the line: 'unsubscribe vnc-list' in the message BODY See also: http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc/intouch.html --------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the line: 'unsubscribe vnc-list' in the message BODY See also: http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc/intouch.html ---------------------------------------------------------------------
