sounds like your not able to connect to port 5900. Try telnet to connect to your server at port 5900, you should get RFB 003.003

I get nothing and it just sits there for a while then gives me a timed out message. The second way is that I go through my browser which is java enabled and I type in the ip address and port number (5800). I get the java security screen that ask me for password. I type in the password and get nothing.. just stays on the password screen and later i get a timed out message. From inside my network at home I have been able to connect to the server and run vnc so I know it is nothing wrong with the way my server is set up at home. Any have any suggestions or comments on what I should check or whats wrong.
