Before I begin, I have searched the archives for Borland problems. However they all lead back to 16 bit Borland DLL's. I am having a problem with the vnc server and a 32 bit Borland DLL.
I have a problem with the VNC server (3.3.3r9) software and a Borland C++ based application (prof.exe). Any time I am connected to the server and prof.exe is running, prof will die of a Float Overflow Exception. In order to cause this exception, I select a menu item or attempt to exit the application. When I select a menu item, I beleive that, the existing window gets destroyed or hidden and a new one is created. I do not have the source code for prof, as my company had bought this from an external company. When I start prof and goto one of the windows that I can't when I'm using the viewer, and then start the viewer from another machine, I get the same exception. Finally, I attempt to remotely debug this application. From this I get the following information. First-chance exception in prof.exe (CW3220.DLL): 0xC0000091: Float Overflow. <Call Stack> CW3220! 0023d72f() <--- Exception Is Caused Here CW3220! 0023d2f4() PROF! 00404c5d() PROF! 0040842a() PROF! 004089ad() OWL501F! 002a1c42() OWL501F! 002a8420() OWL501F! 002cff9e() OWL501F! 002cffab() OWL501F! 002d0056() OWL501F! 002eea5a() OWL501F! 002d0337() OWL501F! 002d05a3() OWL501F! 002d062a() OWL501F! 002d05cb() USER32! 77e7124c() <Module List : Partial > {Module} {Address} CW3220.DLL 0x00230000 - 0x0026BFFF USER32.DLL 0x77E70000 - 0x77EC4FFF OWL501F.DLL 0x00290000 - 0x0035EFFF prof.exe 0x00400000 - 0x004B5FFF <PC 1 Description> Windows NT 4.0 with SP6A IE 6.0 MS VC++ 6.0 SP5 MS VB 6.0 SP5 MS WinNT 4.0 SDK MS WinNT 4.0 DDK MS DirectX 5 SDK vnc 3.3.3r9 <PC 2 Description> Windows NT 4.0 with SP6A IE 5.0 vnc 3.3.3r9 <Borland File> CW3220.DLL File Version: 2.0 Description: Dynamic Link Runtime Library Copyright: Copyright Borland International 1994, 1996 Product Name: Borland C++ 5.0 OWL501F.DLL File Version: 5.03 Description: ObjectWindows Library Copyright: Copyright Borland International 1991, 1996 Product Name: Borland C++ 5.01 Product Version: 10.8D If anyone has any suggestions or ideas I woul love to hear from you.
