I did most thing from the start/prog... but at no time did I get either an
icon or the settings window, that is the problem.  It works fine an my other
machine.

There is a place on the start menu

step 1:
start/programs/VNC/admin tools/install service
step 2:
sart/programs/vnc/admin tools/show default settings

Step one will put the icon in your sys tray.  Step two will config the
settings, or you can just click on the sys tray icon.
