I've been meaning to try adding Java elements. My primary limitation there is not knowing much about Java (of course I didn't know much about scripting, ActiveX, or HTML a few weeks ago, either). Even though you have to download support separately for XP, Java is so ubiquitous that everyone gets it. There's also a payoff in that Microsoft hasn't been driving the development of Java, so the applets tend to be lightweight, compact, and phenomenally powerful for their size.
That's one of the reasons I am interested in what you come up with for the SSH integration; I want to turn this into an easily "pluggable" tool, and if I can find a way to provide hands-off SSH support it opens up for a lot of other uses. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Michael Ossmann" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Friday/2002 February 01 16:52 Subject: Re: integrated remote control front end for VNC, pcAnywhere, RDP, Citrix : On Thu, Jan 31, 2002 at 01:06:58AM -0500, Alex Angelopoulos wrote: : > : > I also am on a hunt for "other" remote control clients and tools which : > have an ActiveX control available for them (or even a Java applet or : > some type of "run in a browser" functionality). : : You might want to take a look at Tarantella.
