Thanks, Jae. There was a different wallpaper, so I set it back to the Windows default - no change.
We noticed that originally, with the custom wallpaper, when the NT 4.0 station is trying to connect, the Win95 screen goes to blue, instead of the custom screen. - JWT -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] On Behalf Of Jae P. I have been unable to have a screen come up because a user installed a large Bitmap wallpaper and it had to load it over a slow connection. It would never load. Also check if you have any screen savers running. That will also cause this problem if a large picture is being displayed at the time of connection. I hope this helps. I'm a new user to the VNC mail list. We've been using VNC for some time to remotely administer PC's over our LAN and WAN connecting our facilities, mostly with Win95, Win95b and NT 4.0 workstations. Most have had no problems at all, but I have one machine (a Win95 box) that when I try to access it from my desktop (NT 4.0 Workstation), I get the message "Please wait - loading initial screen", but no response. Eventually the connection times out and disconnects. I've pored over the mail archives for several hours but have been unable to find a "fix" for this particular problem. TCP/IP is running, and there are no routers, VPN's, proxies, or other items between the two systems. Any ideas??? - Jerry Turnbow SLM Electronics --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the line: 'unsubscribe vnc-list' in the message BODY See also: http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc/intouch.html --------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the line: 'unsubscribe vnc-list' in the message BODY See also: http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc/intouch.html --------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the line: 'unsubscribe vnc-list' in the message BODY See also: http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc/intouch.html ---------------------------------------------------------------------
