Hello, I am using VNC server on Solaris. After I type vncserver I get assingned a new X desktop like: tree1.blah.edu:13
This is good. However, before I can use the connection I need to type this: setenv DISPLAY tree1.blah.edu:13 No I don't know enought unix to know whey this is true but it works. Is there a way to return the address and display number that vncserver assigns me so I can put the setenv DISPLAY in my ~/.vnc/xstartup file? Thank you Ray __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Great stuff seeking new owners in Yahoo!
