I searched the archives but wasn't able to find a solution to my problem (with
the search words I used anyway).

I am running my vncserver on a two different Linux Mandrake 8.0 boxes. I
provide a password a everything is just fine until I reboot. I can connect
with multiple clients. I can start many vncserver sessions. I can disconnect
and reconnect. I can stop my servers and restart them. When I reboot it
appears that my vncserver password is lost.

If I choose the normal boot process (i.e., "linux"), the boot process hangs
when it attempts to start the vncserver process. It hangs because the
vncserver wants a password. If I choose a different boot process (i.e.,
"linux-fb") I'm able to get around vncserver asking for a password.

How to I save the password so that vncserver starts automatically and doesn't
prompt me for a password each time I reboot? Like I said, I didn't find
anything in the documentation or mailing list archives that addressed my
problem.
