Dear Readers of the list

We encountered a strange problem with the windows vnc-viewer in the
latest and second-latest version. On some PC we can connect to the
vncserver (running under Windows NT), on some PC we are building the
connection, the msgbox for entering the password will show. But the
screen of the vncserver wont display correct, only the frame of the
window shows up with the message about "initializing connection".
We started the viewer with logging on and it shows about starting
the winsock until:
SendkeyEvent: key = xff0d status = up
Sent keysym ff0d (release)
then... reading 4 bytes .... reading 12 bytes ... writing 6 bytes
(the "writing 6 bytes" repeats about 100 times), then
Socket error while reading 10054
Deregistering connection from app
Exiting
VNC viewer closing down.

It is very strange, that one PC may connect to some vnc-server
while others don't work. It is very mixed up, ping an other tools
are working. The reply rate is very fast (under 10ms).
Any ideas?

Sincerely
Urs Mueller
