... Don't worry with ports
IF if you set
PortNumber to REG_DWORD (decimal) 80 (or 23)
        AND
AutoPortSelect to REG_DWORD (decimal) 0 in both HKLM and HKCU
AND the called address in the viewer to either IP:4294961476 OR
IP:-5820 for port 80
                OR IP:4294961419 / IP:-5877 for port 23
AND nothing else services these ports at lieast tight does the
job.
You can test this on each box seperately if you allow for local
loopback.
If that works you've got to look at something else such as NAT,
portforwarding, firewalls or alike.

Subject: Switching Ports of Usage

I am having trouble trying to figure aout a way to use a lower port
number
than 5800/5900...i found some archived messages concerning writing to
the
registry manually, and using a negative number in the address as well as
in
the property dialog box, however, not matter how i try to configure the
damn
thing, i can't even get a read anywhere. I am trying to use port23, as
well
as attempting to use port 80 in an attempt to access my computer from my
college's campus (i live off campus) If anyone has any suggestions for a
new
user, i'd appreciate it.

Thanks

Rob
