ScanMan, I tried vncviewer with linux:0 from Win98 just after I did the
following commands on linux. rm -rf /tmp/.X*
killall -9 Xvnc
killall -9 X
/etc/rc.d/init.d/vncserver restart

Again I can't connect by giving the error "Failed to connect to server".
However, if I do vncserver :0 after the above commands, it connects with
linux:0 on the vncviewer. How can you explain this? Do we have to do
vncserver :0 even if  vncserver is restarted? It seems that just restarting
vncserver without display number does not enable the connection.
