Thanks again, Constantin, The tar-ball actually contains source files in vnc_unixsrc/Xvnc/lib/zlib . >From your reply, it seems that there are other zlib files I have to install separately, as well as JPEG files. I'll follow the intructions in the documentation page, which I should have checked first (I only checked the mailing list). Thanks for pointing that out.
Fred -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fred Ma Department of Electronics Carleton University, Mackenzie Building 1125 Colonel By Drive Ottawa, Ontario Canada K1S 5B6 [EMAIL PROTECTED] ========================================================================== It seems like the compiler fails to find include files for zlib and jpeg libraries. I think the documentation at http://www.tightvnc.com/docs.html#uinst would help you to eliminate the problem. Also, I think I'll prepare one more TightVNC packaging option: full source + zlib and jpeg libraries. It would compile out of the box without need to edit any makefiles. That could be helpful for non-Linux users. -- With Best Wishes, Constantin --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the line: 'unsubscribe vnc-list' in the message BODY See also: http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc/intouch.html ---------------------------------------------------------------------
