Well, you can create a shortcut somewhere on the machine running the server to "c:\path\to\vnc\winvnc.exe -kill". The "-kill", as it's name implies, kills a running server. So, when you want to disconnect, simply click the shortcut. It will stop the running winvnc server, and thereby disconnect you. You might get an error pop up on the viewer side saying "server disconnected", but that's about it. Of course, someone would have to manually restart the server before you can connect again... Also, I don't know how this behaves with winvnc as a service - this will work just fine when running the server in app mode (ie, simply running winvnc.exe as a normal application). I then discovered the server program is actually still running as it can be seen in the task manager. Is there any way to actually make the server program completely end running as soon as it is quit from the tray icon?
