I searched (the best I could) through the mailing list but I did not find anything directly applicable to my problem. I am trying to control a host PC, in another state, over the company VPN. The host is a Windows 98 PC and the remote is a Windows NT 4.0 workstation. The connection is fairly fast. PC Anywhere works quite well in this situation. When I try to use the VNC Viewer, I notice that the pointer moves in a jerky fashion on the host. A small white dot follows my mouse movement quite well, but the pointer is delayed and jerky. I checked the option in the viewer to "restrict pixels to 8 bit", but nothing changed. I am using VNC on company networks that are not as far away and the results are excellent. Any suggestions to smooth-out the host pointer will be appreciated.
