VNCScan (http://tgcs.web-it.com) will scan your IP subnet and place
them in a list.  This is very helpful if you use DHCP or don't feel
like manually maintaining a list of 305 computers.

If you have a system to host it on, you could also use the DHCP and
DNS
servers from the Internet Software Consortium (www.isc.org), or
others, and
do dynamic DNS updates from the DHCP server. This requires no special
provisions on the clients to keep an up-to-date DNS. I'm fairly
certain
that W2000 can do dynamic updates in the DNS server, but I don't know
about
it's DHCP server (I avoid Windoze as much as possible).
