I have just been thru the same process and found that Win2K had THREE
password settings in the registry...
HKEY_CURRENT USER and HKEY_USERS had the same key that I had set BUT the
HKEY_LOC_MACHINE had a different Default password.
I cheated by copying the HKEY_USER password for WinVNC to the
HKEY_LOC_MACHINE Default password for VNC
Every thing then worked fine.
I do not really understand this since on my system (NOT the one a talked
about above) all the passwords seem to be the same in the registry!
