Reasonably good, if you mean "can people hack into my box just because I'm
running VNC?". I haven't heard of anyone being hacked in that manner.
Make sure your passwords are a reasonable strength (the maximum length,
alas, is 8 characters), and you'll probably be safer than, say, your ISP is
when they run a POP3 mailbox.
However, the authentication protocol is vulnerable to a certain class of
"man in the middle" attacks (which are fairly hard to pull off in
practice), and the datastream (being unencrypted) can be sniffed by someone
with access to the intervening network. Most people don't need to worry
about these things since they aren't a target of a determined attacker, but
some work is in progress to resolve these two problems.
