Thanks all for the help. The below solved the problem in combination
with re installing the reg value to use the service helper. I had
deleted it so that the icon tray value wouldn't show.

I know the argument both ways on that topic and generally agree with the
side to leave the icon visible. However, there are legitimate times
when it would be nice to not have it show. Example, your users are
pretty good and might try to mess with VNC if they know its there.
Used in conjunction with the QuerySetting value to prompt to accept, it
is a legitimate and honest use of VNC.

Thanks for all the help. VNC doesn't prompt at the ctl-alt-del box(even
though that would be nice, especially when you have to deal with a human
resource dept), does prompt when someone is logged in, automagically
logs off when disconnected(in case user tries to kill session when
logged in as admin), and is generally a great resource for remote
desktop support in a telecommuting environment. Keep up all the great
work.

Set the QuerySetting for the SYSTEM user to the value which always
accepts
connections, never queries. (You will need to add a SYSTEM key under
HKLM/Software/ORL/WinVNC3)
