NO - This happens in NT4 and Windows 2000 - I has to be a R9 issue - I have
reverted to 3.3.3R7 to resolve this...

Subject: MAJOR bug with 3.3.3r9 on Windows XP
If someone tries to connect to my VNC server running on Windows XP (Beta
2), and fail, my wallpaper is removed.
Which is a bit annoying, as my friends now know this and so periodically
attempt to connect to my machine in order to removemy wallpaper for me.
All my friends are running Win2000 3.3.3r9, and me trying the same trick
on them doesn't do anything, so I assume it's an XP issue.
