The source are VNCviewer (very nice, because very short source, so it is
very easy to understand).
If you want to use a java Server => try to use jVNC (I have not yet succeded
to get the Sources, because of my company firewall that does not like CVS
protocol).

This is a network problem. Try to connect (ping, telnet, ...) before trying
to use VNC.
