yes vnc is cool. Here is my setup:
i run linux 2.2 redhat 6.0 on my dual smp machine
on linux i run vmware 2.0.3
inside vmware i run windows 98
in windows 98 i set my display to 800x600
in windows 98 i map a network drive to all my files on my linux side
in windows i run the vnc service
I then iconize my vmware window on linux
and whenever i need to use word excel or ppt on my linux files i just
run vncviewer ip-address-of-vmare-virutal-machine:1 &
(i even do this from my laptop on the road after i dial in)
COOL!!
