Yes, they're both Open Source. As I understand it, TridiaVNC also includes
some 3rd party contributions into their version, such as Tight Encoding,
wallpaper disabling (on Windows), etc. They also "certify" their
distributions for certain platforms (presumably in a Q/A lab). If you want
to think about similar concepts, Red Hat's distribution of Linux seems to be
the most similar.

Please what exactly is the difference between Tridiavnc and vnc. I thought
they were both open source. The only difference I can see is the fact

Tridiavnc can be purchased on cd and also has support. Is this the case.
