Hello everybody,

Is there a way for me to connect to a VNC server using the vnc viewer client
through port 5800 instead of 5900 ?

Let me explain

The server I am trying to connect to is behind a firewall that I do not have
access to. The only open port on this firewall is 5800/TCP

I tried to access this server using web browser and java (through port 5800)
with no luck.

Searching the documentation I found out that for the web access, I need both
5900 and 5800 ports open which I cannot have.

So I thought I would change the ports on the server to 5800 (client access)
and 5700 (java access) and use the client to connect to the machine.

My question now is how can I tell the VNC viewer client to use port 5800
instead of 5900?

If I had web access and had to change the port, all I had to do is add the
":port" at the end. I tried this on the VNC viewer client and didn4t work.

Thank you

Frederick Pohl
