Ok, I can see the point: 4.1.2 shows the real desktop, and since the desktop
hasn't any cursor, then vnc doen't show any cursor. So it's not a bug.

Then
I'd like to give a suggestion. Remote cursor is important, to know where
you're really clicking. Since there're many machines (for example, remote
servers in racks) that don't have any mouse connected, it would be useful to
have an option to render the remote cursor. It could be implemented, for
example, with an option in vncserver or, even better, with an automatic
rendering of the cursor if no mouse is connected (or if no cursor is detected)
in the server.

In fact, MS Terminal Server automatically renders the remote
cursor if there is no mouse
connected. It would be useful to have that
functionality in vnc.

Thank you

RE: VNC 4.1.2: Remote cursor not visible if no mouse is connected to the
server

Hi usr876,

It's not a bug - VNC 4.x series servers capture the cursor
shape more
accurately than the older VNC 3.x series. If you look at the
machine that
doesn't have a mouse connected, you'll see that it doesn't have a
cursor
either.

Cheers,

Wez @ RealVNC Ltd
