Keith- We started testing RHEL 5.0 last month and found that RedHat had changed the paths to:
SecurityPath (was /etc/X11/xserver/SecurityPolicy, RHEL5= /usr/lib/xserver/SecurityPolicy (32 bit), /usr/lib64/xserver/SecurityPolicy (64 bit)) FontPath (was /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts, RHEL5= /usr/share/X11/fonts) ColorMap (was /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/rgb, RHEL5= /usr/share/X11/rgb ) I'm not sure if this will fix your refresh issue, but it helped us with stability... Now if we can get KDE from hanging up (All windows freeze, cannot be resized. Have to restart kwin processs to fix.) I have used VNC for years with other flavors of RedHat with no trouble, but with this one, my screen gets corrupted (see attached jpg). Both the VNC window on the client and the main window on the server look like this. When I close vnc the main window on the server has lots of junk left on it, but if I force a refresh by dragging a window over it it all gets cleaned up. Any ideas? Thanks, Keith [demime 1.01d removed an attachment of type image/jpeg which had a name of vnc.jpg] _______________________________________________ VNC-List mailing list VNC-List@realvnc.com To remove yourself from the list visit: http://www.realvnc.com/mailman/listinfo/vnc-list _______________________________________________ VNC-List mailing list VNC-List@realvnc.com To remove yourself from the list visit: http://www.realvnc.com/mailman/listinfo/vnc-list
