Assuming that it is, here's a few things to check: 1. Try connecting to the external Internet IP address of your office (google for "what is my ip address" from one of the two office machines to verify your internet address and bear in mind that this IP address may change if you do not have a fixed IP address allocated by your ISP). 2. Set up each software firewall to allow incoming connections to the RealVNC application on the respective server port. 3. Double check that you have set up port forwarding at the server side ADSL router correctly. 4. Go through all your VNC server settings on each machine and check that they are correct. 5. If it still fails switch on logging for all components (server/viewer/firewall/router) and see what they say. 6. Try connecting with telnet on each port and post back the responses. > i.e., 24.212.250.132:5909 > What am I doing wrong? Unless your router is switched off the above address is probably not valid - I just trace routed it and couldn't get to it after one hop. -- Regards, Mick [demime 1.01d removed an attachment of type application/pgp-signature] _______________________________________________ VNC-List mailing list VNC-List@realvnc.com To remove yourself from the list visit: http://www.realvnc.com/mailman/listinfo/vnc-list _______________________________________________ VNC-List mailing list VNC-List@realvnc.com To remove yourself from the list visit: http://www.realvnc.com/mailman/listinfo/vnc-list
