Guy, The file you tried to send me is VNC Viewer Enterprise Edition for Windows, not VNC Free Edition, judging by the filename.
VNC provides remote access to desktops - the things that you then run within those desktops are outside the scope of VNC. The VNC Viewer is simply a "thin-client", capable of rendering the contents of the VNC Server's desktop, but with no direct involvement in running of the applications on that desktop. "Workspaces" are a feature normally implemented by X window or session managers, which are programs that run within an X desktop, whether that desktop be a VNC Server, or a console X server.
