Two ideas to determine if the problem comes from VNC or the PC: 1. The usual one. Does a ping to your PC get replies? And in both situations: before and after login. 2. Share a folder of your choice. Of course, test it first that it's accessible when you're login. Then test if you could see the shared folder before you're login.
