RealVNC doesn't include any file transfer utility. One advantage to
using ssh for the tunneling is you should be able to use scp or sftp to
securely transfer files without needing to install any extra server
software.
Correction: the latest version of RealVNC does in fact have the ability
to send files over the VNC connection, as do several other other
iterations of VNC.
