Heya. Similar to UltraVNC's single-click...have you tried
echoWinVNC yet? It's part of our remote-support system built around
VNC: http://www.echogent.com/products.htm
The ideas are the same: the end-user starts up a .exe that
requires no installation, and no end-user configuration. The Viewer
operator (eg, the support provider) can then remote the end-user's
PC. With UltraVNC's SC, the connection is immediate: the target PC
connects directly to the Viewer PC. With echoWinVNC, the connection
is indirect thru a "relay server", so the support-provider can
initiate the connection anytime afterwards. Also with echoWinVNC,
you can customize where it connects to, and the startup splash
screen, simply by holding down the SHIFT key at startup.

Have you checked out the UltraVNC single click server yet? You, the
admin, create an exe with their tool that connects back to your computer
when they double-click on it.
It's really a no brainer for the end users because all that they have to
do is double-click on an icon on their computers and the single-click
client that you created connects back to your admin computer.

You guys are right... I misunderstood what s-code's activex was. Yury at
s-code told me yesterday that what I saw on their site is an activex
**Viewer**. He said they are working on an ActiveX version of the
server.
I dunno, guys, from the initial reading I've done (and the responses
I've seen) the impression like getting VNC to run on a remote computer
in some cases will require more configuration than we're willing (or
able) to have our customers do.
We just can't have our users having to type in IP addresses or go to
sysadmins asking for admin rights to do an install or for ports to be
opened... (even though WebEx occasionally requires that too!)...
