I have read many of the posts on the site, but not all, so I appologize if the
question I am asking has been resolved for someone else already. I am using
ultra vnc 1.0.0 to connect to our server at work, and it works well. I know
the external IP address for our server and can use that or the internal IP to
connect from inside the network or from home. The sonic wall firewall has been
configued to ip forward to our server. But I need to be able to connect to my
pc at work from home via Ultra vnc. I have gone to the sonic wall admin page
and under"add services" input VNC port 5995 to 5999 with tcp(6) and upd(17)
both and under the "rules" I have Allow VNC from *(all) To
"MYINTERNALIP@(LAN), so in effect all requests made to port 5900 to 5995 go to
Lan, and 5995 to 5999 should get forwarded to my pc at work. But needless to
say, I can not even connect from VNC on my lan to my pc much less from the
outside. But I can always reach the Lan from my pc or home. I do not have
"remote desktop" capability under "my system" in the "control panel" so I do
not know if it my windows 2000 sp4 that keeps me from connecting or if I did
not do the port forward correctly. If you can help please try.

Tommy
