Hi,

I just bought some licenses for the personal edition, version 4.1.1, of
VNC server which is currently running on a Windows XP box. When I had the
free version, I easily could connect from linux boxes. However when I try
to connect to this new version from linux I get this error:

---
> vncviewer myhost

VNC viewer for X version 4.0 - built Sep 20 2004 12:21:56
Copyright (C) 2002-2004 RealVNC Ltd.
See http://www.realvnc.com for information on VNC.

Tue Apr 26 15:20:45 2005
CConn: connected to host myhost port 5900
CConnection: Server supports RFB protocol version 4.0
CConnection: Using RFB protocol version 3.8
 CConnection: No matching security types
 main: No matching security types
---

Does this mean that the linux vncviewer 4.0 does not support the new
encryption scheme provided by vnc server 4.1.1? That was the sole reason
for me to buy it.

Thanks for anybody who can clarify this for me.
