I am new to VNC and have a few questions.
I have VNC installed on two XP home computers. The service computer has 2 users configured Fred and Sam. I logged in as Fred and did the VNC service install. When I log in as Fred the desktop is displayed on the monitor. I can connect from another XP home computer using the VNC viewer. I can also connect from outside my local network going through my Linux firewall.
From a client VNC viewer I can do a swith user and get back to the windows user login screen. If I click on Fred I get back to Fred's desktop and all is well but if click on Sam my VNC client viewer goes south. The VNC service side now shows Sam's destop but on the client viewer I only get a blank screen. If I exit the viewer and try to connect again I get the following error:
SelectObject to CompatibleDC failed: The operation completed successfully.
If I go back to the VNC service computer and switch user back to Fred, I can connect again.
It seems like I am in user mode but when I click on the VNC icon in the tray and look at optons it says "service mode".
Do I have something configured incorrectly?
-------question 2------
On the VNC service side if I click on the VNC icon in the tray and choose options, one of the items in the list is "Add New Client" I have no idea what this is. _______________________________________________ VNC-List mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] To remove yourself from the list visit: http://www.realvnc.com/mailman/listinfo/vnc-list
