Is your work PC behind a router / firewall?

If so, the Network Administrator needs to open a port for VNC Viewer to use when 
connecting.

Once this is done, you can connect to work from home using VNC Viewer at home, typing 
in the following


XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:<port to use>

as in 

123.123.123.123:45

I do have the IP address for my office computer but from home when I go 
into the viewer enter the IP address click ok, then a few minutes later 
I get a msg. cannot find, now from home I doing a dialup to the internet 
thru my ISP.
