Hello,

Recently we installed vnc version 3.3.7 on a NT4.0 server (with SP6a).

First. We uninstalled our old version of vnc and did a reboot.
2. Installed vnc 3.3.7 and set our default and user password
3. Again a reboot
4. On reboot we got the message that one or more services could not be
loaded, turns out it was vnc service
5. Checked it out and if we tried to start it manually it said "...
acces denied", we're installed and were logged in as administrators, so we
manually set the user +
password in the service and that worked.

6. Vnc server service is now running in the services, but not in the
systemtray. And no way of connecting to the server with a viewer
7. Now if stop the service manually and run vnc server manually it
appears in the systemtray and it's accessible, but if the server is logged
of vnc server is gone and of
no use again
8. We tried allmost everything (ex service helper, setting both
passwords again, ... and searched through The VNC-List Archives (with no
luck so far)
The strange part is that we installed vnc 3.3.7 on at least 15 other server
with succes (and 10 of them had the same configuration as this one). The
only thing we could think of that is different to those 10 others is that on
this one we installed monitor drivers before we installed vnc 3.3.7. And
after the installation of these drivers we didn't reboot cause we know we
had to reboot after installation of vnc 3.3.7

If someone has an idea what we could do ... please let us know
