Hello,

I am new to this VNC stuff and networking in general, so please bear with
me. I have Win VNC ver 3.3.6 installed in my main computer which uses
Windows 98se. I have Palm VNC installed in my Handspring Visor Prism. I
would like to access my computer from the Visor. I can dial the internet
just fine from the Visor and after a few seconds of the "connecting...."
message from Palm VNC, another screen come up with the following:

Opening the network...skipped
Connecting to 192.168.0.3, 169.254101.188:5900...
ConnectToTcpAddr: cannot connect
Unable to connect to "192.168.0.3, 169.254.101.188":5900
ERROR: cannot connect to "192.168.0.3, 169.254.101.188:5900"

My main computer is connected to a network that I have internet access
through. The Network server accesses the internet through Starband
(satellite). I think 192.168.0.3 is the IP address for the network
computer. The second address is my computer's IP address when using a
dialup connection instead of the sattelite. Tried that just as a test. The
IP address when using Starband is 169.254.101.188. I have tried to enter
just the internet IP address, both with dialup and Starband, but I get about
the same message. I believe the Network computer that I am connected to
uses WinProxy.

So, if I gave enough info, what could be my problem? I am networked
challenged, but not Windows or computer challenged in general. If anyone
has any idea that is related to network setting, please be specific as to
what I need to change and how to do that. At any rate, I'll take whatever
help I can get!

Also, please respond to my email address, as I have not yet registered to
the user group.

Best Regards,
