The prescribed way of doing this is working for me. I double tap "confirm clear
section" with one finger and then immediately I hear the "confirm clear
section" repeated and I stay right there or check to make sure I am in the same
place and double tap it again. Most of the time it appears to me that the focus
remains there so by just double tapping again I complete the process. It would
be interesting to know why some people have this problem and some don't but
that seems to be true with most bugs or problems. For me, this is working on
both my 5S and 6+.

I tried and tried to turn over a new leaf.
I got crumpled wads of tear-stained paper
thrown in the trash!
Then God gave me a new heart and life:
His joy for my despairing tears!
And now, every day:
"This I call to mind,
and therefore I have hope:
The steadfast love of the Lord
never ceases;
his mercies never come to an end;
they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness."
(Lamentations 3:21-23 ESV)
