To my knowledge, there is no way to insert a line break/carriage return into a shortcut with the builtin shortcut facility. There are probably third party apps that will accomplish it but they would not be usable system wide un-jail broken.

I send some very standard replies to my client. So I have even input whole letters as shortcuts. However I am facing one problem- I cannot input a line break in my letters.
